Privacy and information protection
The department provides legal advice on issues relating personal information management and information security, risk assessment and policy-making regarding internal organizational processes and procedures, management, regulation and registration of databases with the Registrar of Databases.
The department also provides legal and technological assistance regarding the loss of information following cyber attacks, tightening of information protection systems and regulatory legal assistance in the management of databases.
The department has up-to-date knowledge that changes frequently and provides advice regarding compliance with the guidelines of the Registrar of Databases, and the Privacy Protection Authority.
